FOCUS: EMOTIONS PT. 2
The Focus: Emotions competition is devoted to short dramas that evoke strong emotions in the audience. Sorrow mixes with joy, excitement with powerlessness, and sometimes, it brings out some tears. This cinema from all around the world makes us realise that although our cultures often differ, we are very similar when it comes to emotions.

A hot summer afternoon, residential district of large blocks of flats. Four friends on the threshold of adulthood spend a day together while parents are absent. A party that seems ordinary at first begins to lose its carefree appearance. Film awarded at KFDF „Młodzi i film”.

A fourteen-year-old boy, whose Mum plans on selling his deceased Dad’s Datsun, decides to take his best friend and little brother on one last joyride. Film presented at e.g. Berlinale IFF and SXSW. Polish premiere.

A young journalist interviews the local heroine Marianne. Their conversation starts with a misunderstanding and becomes more and more difficult over time. Film presented at e.g. the IFFl in Clermont-Ferrand. Polish premiere.
