Is it possible to access the events online this year?

We believe that the festival is about meeting, and the cinema is a natural meeting place for film lovers. We miss conversations with our viewers, which is why this year we focus on stationary shows. The films we have selected for you are best viewed on a large screen, and in a space that allows you to focus and experience the screenings with other viewers. We invite you to the shows at the Centre for Culture in Lublin and the Academic Centre for Culture and Media UMCS “Chatka Żaka”. Online, you can watch the opening screening of the festival entitled “Short(s) about COVID-19.” It will be available on November 19th from 5:30-10:00pm on the Kultureo.pl portal with the SDH subtitles. You can also take part in an online workshop. On our Facebook fan page we will broadcast the webinar “Is the constitution photogenic?”. All other events will be available only in stationary form.

Will I get a printed program on the spot?

We want to become an eco-friendly festival. In order to do so, we need to make a gradual reduction of our paper consumption. Therefore, we will no longer print the festival programs. On our website you will find a clear calendar, thanks to which you can easily and quickly check what we have prepared for you. You can also download the program as a pdf file. During the festival, in the building of the Cultural Center in Lublin, you will find a board with the schedule of events, and our volunteers will gladly help you find everything in the program. You will always find them at the entrances of the Screening Room and the Main Performance Room one hour before the first screening, and till the last screening of the day.

Can I come to the shows with my child?

Great idea! If your child is just starting his adventure with the cinema, we invite you to a special screening of films intended for viewers from the age of 7, which will take place on November 27th at 11:00 at the Centre for Culture in Lublin. After the screening, the workshops will await the whole families. Come together and you will definitely have a great time. If your child is a little older, check which films are appropriate for his age. Next to each title, you will find information about the suggested age group of the viewers.

How should I prepare to participate in the festival?

At the beginning, plan some free time to visit the Centre for Culture in Lublin or the Academic Centre for Culture and Media UMCS “Chatka Żaka”. You can easily check the program using the calendar on our website. When arriving at the festival venues, remember to follow the current sanitary regulations. Take a mask with you and wear it indoors. You will find the hand disinfectant in front of the entrance of the screening rooms. If you have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate, take it with you in a print or in an electronic version, e.g. on your smartphone.

Are the films shown with English subtitles?

Almost all films are shown with both Polish and English subtitles at the same time. Screenings and events that take place only in Polish are clearly marked in the program.

Are the festival venues adapted to the needs of people with reduced mobility?

Yes. All festival facilities are adapted to the needs of people with reduced mobility. There are also special wheelchair zones in the rooms.
