Lublin Film Festival is an international celebration of cinema and an opportunity to get acquainted with the latest films of emerging stars of world cinematography. LFF All Year Round screenings are replay of festival’s hits which revolve around the same subject matter or are similar in form. In October we will show films from the past editions of the festival that show different faces of the war. All the films are subtitled in Polish and English.

People of the Wasteland, dir. Heba Khaled (Syria) 2018, 21’

A documentary about clashes of Syrian fighters recorded with a camera attached to their helmets. Presented at Krakow Film Festival.

A short, nostalgic memory of the life of Yehuda Ken Dror – an Israeli soldier who showed incredible courage, risking his life for his friends.

It’s 1973, war time in Israel, and all that 15-year-old Sherry wants is a boyfriend. A letter exchange with an unknown soldier makes her believe that it’s going to be her first love. But what will happen when the imaginary soldier becomes real?

A family of three is waiting for someone to finally find them in the desert of Iraq.

Passage, dir. Igor Coric (Serbia) 2019, 7’

There is a war. The boy is left alone after his relatives die – dismantled to the simplest geometric figures. His stubbornness and desperation leads to an unexpected ending. EAFF Balkanima.
