KAZIMIERZ PRÓSZYŃSKI – FATHER OF CINEMA

History in Cinema/History of Cinema is a new series devoted to important history events and people, who influenced both our reality and the cinema.

75 years ago died Kazimierz Prószyński, a mechanical engineer, inventor, constructor of film cameras, director and cinematographer. Louis Lumière was to say of him: “Gentlemen, this man is the first in cinematography, I am the second.” Together with the National Center for Film Culture, we invite you to the screening of the reconstructed version of Return of the Reveller, one of the first Polish films and a making-off of this unique project. After the screening, there will be a meeting with the director of the NCKF Exhibitions and Collections Department, Piotr Kulesza and Piotr Komorwski from Exhibitions and Collections Department.

The event will be broadcast live on Lublin Film Festival facebook page, where you can ask questions in the comments.
