In 2023, Walerian Borowczyk would celebrate his 100th birthday. He is known as a controversial artist, but considering his versatility, trying to classify him seems pointless. We want to introduce him to the Lublin audience as a total, uncompromising artist whose rich achievements include many works that deserve recognition.

A documentary devoted to the work of Walerian Borowczyk – a director highly regarded in the 1970s for his extraordinary sensitivity, who was pigeonholed as a maker of erotic films. The story of Borowczyk is told by people from the director’s closest circle and great figures of cinema, including: Terry Gilliam, Bertrand Bonell, Neil Jordan, Andrzej Wajda, Patrice Leconte and Slavoj Žižek. The film was awarded at the Millenium Doc Against Gravity festival.
