FOCUS: STORYTELLING – Klondike
Focus: Storytelling is a competition of mid-length and full-length feature productions with a clearly original creative approach, looking for original forms of narration. Both young and experienced filmmakers will compete for the prize. This year, 9 films from 8 countries will take part in the competition.

July 2014. Irka and Tolik live in Donbas. They are expecting a child. One day, a fragment of a plane shot down by Russian separatists destroys the wall of their house. As Tolik’s pro-Russian friends expect him to join their efforts, Irka’s brother is enraged by suspicions that Tolik has betrayed Ukraine. Irka tries to make peace between her husband and brother by asking them to repair their bombed house. Film awarded at Berlinale and Sundance FF.
