FOCUS: STORYTELLING – Bread and Salt
Focus: Storytelling is a competition of mid-length and full-length feature productions with a clearly original creative approach, looking for original forms of narration. Both young and experienced filmmakers will compete for the prize. This year, 9 films from 8 countries will take part in the competition.

Tymek is a young pianist studying at the Chopin University of Music. He returns to his hometown to spend the summer break with his mother, his brother, and his friends from the hood. At the meeting point for the local youth, a newly-opened neighbourhood kebab bar, Tymek witnesses the spiralling tensions between his friends and the Arab employees. A film inspired by true events, cast with non-professional actors. Film awarded at Venice IFF.
