75 YEARS OF AFS: NOT ONLY REKSIO, OR FILM RETROSPECTIVE FOR KIDS

Animated Film Studio in Bielsko-Biała has been in existence for 75 years now! Joining the celebration of this wonderful jubilee, LFF invites you to see the screenings of selected films from the studio’s archives. AFS is not famous only for “Reksio” or “Bolek i Lolek”. In the series of screenings, we will present films from both years ago and the latest productions. Experience the wealth of AFS achievements with us!

Grandma tells a little goat about a stubborn and disobedient old goat who was deservedly punished.
Myszka i kotek, dir. Władysław Nehrebecki (Poland) 1958, 9’
The smart kitty is trying to catch the mouse. Despite breakneck chases and traps, the rodent is still free.
Scyzoryk, dir. Leszek Lorek (Poland) 1961, 9’
A dangerous pocket knife wreaks havoc around itself. Will someone be able to stop him?
Bajka o smoku, dir. Mirosław Kijowicz (Poland) 1962, 11’
Cracov is plagued by a terrible dragon. Many daredevils tried to chase him away to no avail, but finally a clever shoemaker appeared.
Kusza, dir. Władysław Nehrebecki (Poland) 1963, 9’
The first of Bolek and Lolek’s adventures, which started a whole series of popular cartoon films. The boys, inspired by the story of William Tell, want to repeat the legendary apple shot.
Reksio poliglota, dir. Lechosław Marszałek (Poland) 1967, 10’
The first animated film about Reksio’s adventures. The heroic dog learns the languages of his neighbors from the yard. Thanks to this, he can communicate with them, but also alleviate conflicts between them.
Robocik, dir. Stanisław Dülz (Poland) 1967, 10’
The boy receives a robot as a gift, which plays with him and helps him with his chores and even his homework.
