Alessia and Danilo live in the Roman outskirts. They are young and in love. Danilo’s overbearing father disapproves of his son’s relationship with a girl from Naples. Alessia is urged to leave, but she doesn’t want to leave the city without her beloved.

Magda and Michał met at a theater workshop many years ago. Today, they are acting professionally in the famous Theater 21, created by persons with Down syndrome. They have been a couple for several years and want to get married, but their families and friends are struggling to accept that.
