Lublin Film Festival All Year Round

Lublin Film Festival is an international celebration of cinema and an opportunity to get acquainted with the latest films of emerging stars of world cinematography.
LFF All Year Round screenings are replay of festival’s hits which revolve around the same subject matter or are similar in form. The films included in the January screening come from the LFF 2018 program. If you did not manage to be at the festival or would like to recall selected films you will have a great opportunity in the following months. But remember that all the films you can watch only at LFF.
1. Kapitalistis, dir. Pablo Muñoz Gómez (Belgium, France) 2017, 14’
Christmas is coming and the 5-year-old son of Georges, a rather poor courier, dreams about a new school bag. Sadly, the most expensive one in the shop… Film awarded at Locarno IFF among others and nominated to European Film Award.
2. White, dir. David Moya (United Kingdom) 2017, 15’
A white man arrives at the Transition Centre Plus after dying of food poisoning in a cruise. There he is informed that he cannot be white in his next life. This triggers a ridiculous conversation.
3. Ready to Assemble, dir. Astrid Thorvaldsen, Erik Paulsen (Norway) 2017, 21’
Rune and Pernille suddenly find their living room table inexplicably broken, so they go shopping. They don’t realise that they are the subjects of a conspiracy.
4. Aaba, dir. Amar Kaushik (India) 2016, 22’
A farmer learns that he’s got lung cancer and in a couple of weeks he’s going to die. So he starts to dig his grave. But life will surprise him one more time. Golden Anteater in the competition Masters of Theme.
5. Leader, dir. Katia Priwieziencew, Igor Priwieziencew (Poland) 2018, 19’
A group of men oppressed by women join a course whose goal is to learn how to build healthy relationships. The coach turns out to have highly controversial methods…
