Call for entries 2023

Dear filmmakers, producers, distributors, thank you for being with us in 2022!

Thanks to your films, the LFF audience has experienced many wonderful moments full of emotion and reflection.

We announce the call for entries for this year’s, 17th edition of LFF. We look forward to seeing your films and to the moment when we will be able to present them to the audience.

At the same time we would like to inform about our decision to continue the boycott films produced in the Russian Federation and to waive the fees in the paid entry period for films from Ukraine.

The most important rules for the call for entries in 2023:

  • we are waiting for short films up to 30 minutes. (feature, documentaries, animations, VR, 360)
  • and mid-length and full-length feature productions (animated and live-action films with a duration of at least 40 minutes)
  • recruitment takes place only through the Film Freeway platform.

  • recruitment runs from February 13 to June 4, 2023
  • films can be submitted free of charge between 13.02.2023 and 19.03.2023
  • From 20.03.2023 a fee will be charged for all submissions:
    – 20.03.2023-30.04.2023  – 5 $ for each film
    –01.05.2023-04.06.2023 – 16 $ for each film
  • we accept a maximum of 2 films by one director that were created from January 1, 2021 and weren’t previously submitted to our festival
  • we require a dialogue list with TC in English in .srt format, in the case of films in Polish, we also accept films with English subtitles integrated with the image (so-called hardsubs).
  • applicants will be notified by e-mail by the Organizer of the Selection results after the end of the Qualification Committee session (second half of October 2023)
  • the organizer does not cover the license fees.
