Call for entries 2022

Dear filmmakers, producers, distributors, thank you for being with us in 2021!

Thanks to your films, the LFF audience has experienced many wonderful moments full of emotion and reflection. We do not know what the situation will be like in November, but despite the difficult times for the film industry, we look to the future with optimism and we assure you that Lublin Film Festival will be held for the 16th time. We are back in the cinemas and we can meet you and our audience in real life. Keep your fingers crossed. In the meantime, we announce the call for entries for this year’s edition of LFF. We look forward to seeing your films and to the moment when we will be able to present them to the audience.

At the same time we would like to inform about our decision to boycott films produced in the Russian Federation and to waive the fees in the paid entry period for films from Ukraine. More information here.

The most important rules for the call for entries in 2022:

  • we are waiting for short films up to 30 minutes. (feature, documentaries, animations, VR, 360)
  • and full-length feature action films over 60 minutes.
  • recruitment takes place only through the Film Freeway platform.

  • recruitment runs from February 15 to June 5, 2022
  • films can be submitted free of charge between 15.02.2022 and 20.03.2022
  • From 21.03.2022 a fee will be charged for all submissions:
    – 21.03.2022-1.05.2022  – 4 $ for each film
    –02.05.2022-05.06.2022 – 15 $ for each film
  • we accept a maximum of 2 films by one director that were created from January 1, 2020 and weren’t previously submitted to our festival
  • we require a dialogue list with TC in English in .srt format, in the case of films in Polish, we also accept films with English subtitles integrated with the image (so-called hardsubs).
  • applicants will be notified by e-mail by the Organizer of the Selection results after the end of the Qualification Committee session (second half of October 2022)
  • the organizer does not cover the license fees.
