DESCRIPTION:In 2023, Walerian Borowczyk would celebrate his 100th birthday. He is known as a controversial artist, but considering his versatility, trying to classify him seems pointless. We want to introduce him to the Lublin audience as a total, uncompromising artist whose rich achievements include many works that deserve recognition.\n\n \n\nLove Express. The Disappearance of Walerian Borowczyk, Kuba Mikurda (Poland, Estonia) 2018, 75’, 16+\nA documentary devoted to the work of Walerian Borowczyk – a director highly regarded in the 1970s for his extraordinary sensitivity, who was pigeonholed as a maker of erotic films. The story of Borowczyk is told by people from the director’s closest circle and great figures of cinema, including: Terry Gilliam, Bertrand Bonell, Neil Jordan, Andrzej Wajda, Patrice Leconte and Slavoj Žižek. The film was awarded at the Millenium Doc Against Gravity festival.\n\n\n\nAfter the screening, we invite you to join a discussion with Kuba Mikurda.\n
